John Rollin Ridge Family Plot Cleanup

  • Greenwood Memorial Gardens Cemetery Grass Valley, CA (map)

All are invited to join us for some outdoor community, history, and ᎦᏚᎩ gadugi!

On Saturday, May 11th, we plan to meet at 10 am at the plot at Greenwood Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Grass Valley (pulls up in Apple and Google maps), located on the Rough and Ready Highway. It's recommended you come prepared for the weather and some dirt. Clean-up activities of the small plot include minor raking, weed pulling, and cleaning headstones with a special cleaner the CNCV will provide. After the clean-up, we usually go to lunch together at Maria’s Mexican Restaurant at Grass Valley.

Sign up by clicking the link below if you want to lend a helping hand to clean up the John Rollin Ridge family cemetery plot. The CNCV helps caretake this historical plot regularly. It's usually a great day full of conversation, community, and history. More hands equals less work and more time for visiting.

Directions: From Grass Valley town center, go west on Main Street approximately 1 mile. Main Street becomes Rough and Ready Hwy. There are two side-by-side cemeteries on the right side of road. Go past the first one, which is the Catholic Cemetery. The second is our location at the Greenwood Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Enter the main entrance, drive right around circle to the top, to unendowed Section IV. On the map below, X marks the gravesite.
