We are deeply honored to receive the Hunger Fighters award at this month’s annual Community and Cultural Outreach (CCO) Conference of Community Leaders.

Our community, one of the earliest established at-large group in the country, has always believed in the power of ᎦᏚᎩ gadugi, or working together.

This award is a reflection of that, given in part for emergency SNAP funding we provided during the government shutdown and dedicated food sovereignty work, like heirloom seed growing and distribution, instruction on heirloom gardening and preservation, teaching and sharing traditional foods, and feeding the community at events, like our annual campout. We hope to see you there!
